CRA was founded in through the merger of Frank A. Rovers Associates and Conestoga Engineering. The companys reputation for strategic project management at environmentally impaired properties began through a leadership role on the Love Canal cleanup project in Niagara Falls, New York, in the late s. This project led in part to the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act CERCLA Superfund program in the United States and gave CRA international recognition in the environmental field.

Our goal is to enhance the services we provide to clients, through more robust local networks and access to deeper global resources.
